Is it obvious to everyone why the late night hosts are coming back tonight?

We've all seen the polls that say many people get their understanding of news from late night comedy monologues and most young people get their news from venues like John Stewart.

They are coming back to tell us how to vote again. Letterman, Stewart, and Colbert more than others. Check out their initial lineup of guests and tell me that I'm wrong.

You're probably correct.

What a shame that many young people get their news from left leaning Hollywood comedy shows.

Pathetic!

I agree with you. It seems obvious to me as well.
I am just some one is coming back to new programing
Or could it be that the Iowa caucus is coming up and politics is more interesting than usual? I mean, they have to book somebody to go on those shows, don't they? And certainly publicity is key right now.

I'm conservative, but you know what? The Daily Show ripped into Clinton hard core when he was president, and they'll do the same to any administration. That's their job, they are political satire news.
First of all, liberals understand the difference between entertainment and hard news. Limbaugh is just as much an entertainer as Maher, Colbert, or Stewart; something most cons don't seem to understand. Second, we're not all voting in Iowa. And lets not forget that the highest rated shows Fox News and Rush Limbaugh never stopped broadcasting so who's really been doing the influencing. Those two shows have far more influence on conservatives than the comedians do on liberals.
The media has been trying to do this all along. I seriously doubt this is true and even if it was then it can't be worse than what has been happening. We have George Bush in the White House. He has done a lot of terrible things. $15 billion a month for the wars.
